The history of vaping and an electronic cigar

It appears as if vaping came out of nowhere. One day it didn’t exist and then after a few months, everywhere we went, someone was vaping. The truth is, an electronic cigar is not new. Neither is the concept of using vapor to breathe in smoked herbs, mid-poisons or scents. As a matter of fact, that has been going on for as long as humanity has been maintaining a written record, maybe even longer.

Vaping inventions and patents

Fast forward to 1927, Joseph Robinson got the first electro-mechanical cigarettes patent. He called his invention the electronic vaporizer. There were several other patents granted after that for different applications of that invention. In the early 60’s, a gentleman by the name of Herbert Gilbert came up with a contraption known as Smokeless non-tobacco cigarette though it wasn’t promoted to the masses, as current vaping products, devices and paraphernalia are today.

In 2003, a Chinese company came up with the first electro-mechanical cigarette device. Just like the types and style we notice today, it included a plastic cartridge, a 510 vape battery, a liquid nicotine compound, and a heating aspect using an ultrasonic atomizer. Though this sounds like complicated equipment, it was pretty simple and cheap to produce.

The original invention of an electronic cigar was to permit people to quit smoking to save their lungs and prevent smoking from ultimately taking their lives by way of the lung cancer, lung disease, and other lung ailments. It was created to solve an issue and done so with the greatest intentions. The device is supposed to enable one to still have their nicotine hit without the long-term issues associated with smoking conventional cigarettes. As nicotine is almost a 3 day addiction, implying if you stop smoking for 3 days, you don’t truly require it anymore, the lector-mechanical cigarettes made sense.
